Scott Pappalardo has owned an AR15 for 30 years, and he took to the internet this weekend to put his money where his mouth is.  After Sandy Hook he had promised his wife that he would destroy his gun if another school shooting happened again.  Well, after 17  lives were taken in Florida late last week he decided to destroy his gun by sawing the barrel.  Take a look at the video, but the story doesn’t end there.  See below to see the issue the video has caused.

Many people commented that Scott didn’t actually render the gun useless.  They claimed that all he did was cut the barrel.  In doing so, he violated a Federal law that basically says no one is allowed to own a short barreled version of an automatic weapon.  (Automatic meaning the gun fires as many bullets that are in the magazine until you either run out of ammo, or release the trigger.)  Although many people were correct, they didn’t follow through with Scott’s post.  He later posted a picture of the other cuts he made to the rifle, rendering it completely useless.  To check out those pictures CLICK HERE.
