Tuesday night, Mobile police officer Justin Billa was killed in the line of duty after responding to a standoff with a person suspected of killing his ex-wife. The standoff ended two hours later when the suspect was killed. It’s not immediately known if the suspect took his own life or due to police intervention.
Officer Billa had been with the Mobile Police Department for two years and was a former “Officer Of The Month.”
