Bradley Cooper Nearly Dropped Out Of ‘Beyond The Pines’ Over Script Changes Reportedly, Bradley Cooper almost decided not to be a part of Beyond the Pines because of the numerous changes in the script.

Derek Cianfrance, who directed the movie, shared this tidbit and revealed that he and Darius Marder rewrote pretty much every word in the script shortly before shooting took place.

Derek said he flew to Cooper to explain why the changes needed to happen and after having a more than 3-hour conversation, he was able to convince Bradley to stay on.
